Overview

Following a feasibility study, Charcoalblue was appointed by the Liverpool and Everyman Theatres Trust to assist in the redevelopment of the Everyman Theatre and new facilities, including an education studio, re-modelled workshop, and administration accommodation.

This major development has created an inspiring legacy with new employment and training opportunities, as well as opening up the theatre experience to children, young people and communities across Merseyside. The highly flexible auditorium is naturally ventilated and includes flying capability over a thrust stage.

The project received £12.8million investment from the Arts Council. In October 2014 the building received the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize.
